NVAR invites you to attend the 2024 NVAR Public Policy Roundtable on Monday, April 29 from 2:00-3:30 pm at the NVAR Fairfax Headquarters. This is your chance to raise public policy issues that you see impacting Northern Virginia and the real estate industry.      NVAR needs to hear from you as we develop a proactive public policy program for 2024 and beyond.  As a member at NVAR you are the eyes, ears and voice of the association. If you or your colleagues are facing issues that need a legislative or regulatory solution, we need to know. This Policy Roundtable will be moderated by Josh Veverka, Sr. Director of Government Affairs.       The facilitated discussion will touch on many issues impacting the real estate industry and the Northern Virginia market—things like agency law, professionalism and education, condos and POAs, landlord/tenant, housing affordability and fair housing.  We will also lean into larger regional issues such as education, transportation, taxes, workforce, and beyond.   Our goal is to come away from the roundtable with actionable local and state legislative ideas that can be put forward as NVAR’s Legislative Agenda for the coming year(s). The development of our Legislative Agenda is a multi-step process that begins with you, but also includes the full NVAR Public Policy Committee vetting the proposals which are then recommended to the Board of Directors for their approval. Any state-level issues are also shared with the Virginia REALTORS® for possible inclusion in the state-wide Realtor® Legislative Agenda.   We hope that each of you will join us and come prepared to discuss any issues you would like us to consider.
